Muntz Car Company - The Muntz Car Company was created in Glendale, California in the early 1950s by Madman Muntz, a well known local used car dealer and electronics retailer. He was assisted by Frank Kurtis, who had earlier attempted to produce a sports car under the Kurtis marque, and the Muntz design was influenced by its predecessor.

Car of the Year - Car of the Year is a phrase usually considered to have been invented by Motor Trend magazine in the 1950s for their annual award for best automobile. The magazine still gives this award.

Ken Richardson (race car driver) - Ken Richardson (August 21, 1911 - June 27, 1997) was a racing and test / development driver from the United Kingdom. He was the main development driver on the BRM V16 project in the early 1950s, and he was entered by the team to drive one of the V16s in the 1951 Italian Grand Prix.

Boat (car) - A boat is an informal (although once widely used) term for the massive cars produced by the Detroit manufacturers during the 1950s and onward. The age of the boats came to a rather abrupt end in the early 1970s, when the first gas crisis hit and driving a needlessly large car became impractical financially.
